Please message us for a unique idea or special order. We can handle most customization requests quickly and will work with you as much as necessary to make your vision a reality.
While we would love to say that we can design anything, we do have our limitations and we will let you know if we need more information or if something is out of our capabilities.
How do you develop/design/create your products?
All products from Zero Calorie Paper Co. are created by our mother-and-daughter design team, incorporating one or more of the following:
1. Our own original art and digital designs.
2. Digital illustration, editing, and design tools including Canva, Affinity, Adobe, Procreate, GIMP, and AI-assisted tools.
3. Select commercially licensed art, fonts, and templates.
4. Public-domain works.
We focus on breathing new life into old stories and masterpieces, creating atmospheric, cohesive designs that feel collected, discovered, and timeless.
Are your products pre-made or mass-produced?
No. We believe made-to-order products avoid wasteful mass production and reduce environmental impact. Every item in our shop is thoughtfully designed and made-to-order. Once you place your order, we send the design to one of our printing partners or our book publisher.
Are the 3D details (like foils, metals, leather/linen textures, hand-tooled appearance, or floral elements) physically raised or attached to the journal covers?
No, our standard book and journal covers feature smooth, flat-printed designs. Because we format our layouts with hyper-realistic textures, shadows, and vintage depth, the artwork creates a beautiful 3D optical illusion on a completely flat, velvety matte laminated surface. There are no physical objects, metal pieces, or raised textures attached to the outside. This ensures your notebook stays durable, lightweight, and comfortably smooth to hold or slip into your bag!
The exception to this rule is our guest books and wedding books. Those do feature genuine metallic foil print where shown in the listing images.
